Godzirra

Godzirra is actually an Eastern Water Dragon. When I was staying at Coffs Harbour these guys would hang around the pool and occasionally scare the daylights out of guests. They can be seen at the hotel climbing up on the deck chairs and on to sleeping guests. One Englishman was unlucky enough to let out a blood curdling scream when one touched him, much to the amusement of other guests. This was followed by "That wasn't at all amusing guv" Anyway, that's where I got the title for the painting. Going through my photos of the short holiday I saw how beautiful these dragons are and decided I had to paint one.
