The third Entomorph in the series, part insect, part machine. I've taken great care that each element of these entomorph paintings have stand alone elements. In this painting the wooden fence holds up as a work by itself with some elements barely noticeable, for example there's a nail in the timber that sits in a hole where it once sat snuggly, now the elements have deteriorated the timber. Lichen is starting to take a foothold and ruts appear in the old timber.
The beetle itself, brushed steel body and engineered legs, help the hybrid insect up the timber. Not necessarily confronting in today's day and age and a great artwork to replace the books on your coffee table
