This piece came about after I came out of hospital for a knee replacement. I was sitting in my studio lamenting that I couldn't start a new canvas or even lift one of my heavier pieces to complete. As luck would have it, I found this smaller canvas that I'd made up earlier. I'd just finished a coffee, and the aroma still filled the studio, and everything clicked together like it so often does for me. I grabbed some beans and unleased myself on the canvas.
Personally, I can see this hanging in a kitchen or coffee shop.
