Aladdin's Lamp but for Kids

I'm a gluten for punishment; I always endeavour to make new paintings "better" or more challenging than the last. Sometimes that means making it harder for myself. In doing so, I came up with the concept of filling the decanter with jellybeans.

It took about three months to paint this because each jellybean needed to be painted three to four times. The reflections in the glass and even the reflection in front of the beans all needed techniques that I hadn't used before.

The "Aladdin's Lamp" is isolated in darkness to make the lamp the focus of the painting and of course it helps to make the beans pop.

The canvas has larger dimensions than the image size.  This is because there is a 3.5cm border all the way around for framing purposes.  The frame is not included with the purchase but is shown in the last photo. Purchasing framed will add $200 and a separate PayPal link will be sent
